Dear Parents and Participants:
Terra Lingua Canada is proud to be joining a team of highly experienced professionals dedicated to providing student exchange programs around the world. This network of professionals has team members in France, Spain, Germany, England, Ireland, USA, Mexico and now Canada. Professionals with a wealth of experience in the field of international exchanges, foreign language teachers, previous host families, and students who have lived and studied abroad – all work together to make these cultural exchanges possible.
Terra Lingua Canada is open to students from around the world between 13 and 24 years of age. It offers them the opportunity to improve their language skills, discover a new culture, and develop a passion for a new country. We offer them a choice of linguistic and cultural experiences adapted to their level and to their personal aspirations: thematic, intensive, or sports-oriented programs; homestays; scholastic programs of two weeks, three months, a semester, and the entire academic year. Many of our programs include language courses in order to optimize results.
In order for them to profit from their stay abroad, participants must be prepared to dedicate themselves to this enriching experience. Students should have a reasonable knowledge of the language of the host country, be open minded and somewhat independent in order to be at ease while away from home.
The principal objectives of Terra Lingua Canada are, through the medium of foreign travel, to assist young persons to become truly bilingual, to provide them with knowledge of other cultures, and to permit them to become more mature and self-confident. This is why we have designed our logo to symbolize all young students willing to go beyond their own land to enrich their personal life.
